Clinical Supervision

I employ a person-centered approach to individual supervision anchored in the following modalities: psychodynamics, ACT, EFT and existential theory. My approach assumes that the patient has within them the resources and capacities to resolve that which brings then to therapy. Within this framework I consider the purpose of supervision to be:

  1. To promote professional growth, acculturation
  2. To enhance safe and effective use of self in the therapeutic relationship
  3. To discuss the direction of therapy
  4. To promote self awareness (strengths, weaknesses, gifts, aptitudes, blind spots)
  5. To safeguard the well-being of the client

Core values as a supervisor : Professionalism, character content, competency, patient care, kindness, responsibility.
